Leonard Nash on Little Walter:

I asked Leonard Nash (surfer, harmonica saint, teacher and a friend for life) who his favorite harp player is and if  Little Walter is one of them. Here is what he wrote back from his flip phone:

Favorite harp player besides my self?   lol…go up to any world class blues harp player…..and i have done it to some of the best alive and just say the word Walter and they all drop to one knee…i was talking to Rod Piazza today…his mastery of styles …aaaahh…i like sonny boy williamson 2  Paz there are dozens…walter IS  mozart…greater than Miles  or Trane…invented a new Sound I was lucky to hear and some time meet jr wells james cotton sam meyers  howling wolf. geo smith and a black cat from LA whose name momentary l forgot…never saw walter or jimmy reed.
